Huerta San Juan de Dios has a unique place with centuries of tradition at the 18th Century temple visible from the property garden: Each year, there is a procession with the Sr. de la Columna, the miracle-attributed Christ image, from the world-heritage site in Atotonilco, a VIP site linked to San Juan de Dios.

Sr. de la Columna processions are one of San Miguel's oldest, and important to the devout who attribute unparalleled healing miracles to this image of the Christ. The faithful and or the festive mingle annually amidst ornamental greenery once supplied by Huerta San Juan de Dios exclusively.
